What Happened to Brave Reviews?

Have you taken a look around our new website? What do you think of it?

A lot has changed around here as of late! Not only has the site got a complete facelift, but we changed our name and you may notice we’re discussing a more broad stroke of material. What’s up with the shift and what happened to Brave Reviews?

Let me say real quick, if you are someone who loves pouring energy into your website, be careful when you do a name change or complete rebranding. I cannot telling your how many people have unsubscribed from our newsletter on account of not recognizing the new website. We failed on our end to properly communicate that a change was coming — and readers failed to recognize the new name and look when it hit their inboxes! All of that is neither here nor there … so what happened to Brave Reviews?

Brave Reviews existed for one sole purpose alone and that was to keep busy pastors and laypeople up to date on what is being published. Nothing was on our radar aside from books, including physical and digital formats. That was good and well for the first two years. Actually, that was great when it was just me reading and writing. Then a team of writers began to form and we have completely diverse backgrounds. From newly graduated college folks to pastors to seminary students to laypeople who just love to read and write … we are from all different walks of life across the United States. I thought it would only help to open the door to more.

More what, you ask? I started Brave Reviews as a Internet book hub, all with the intent of glorifying Christ. Whether in our reading and writing or in the lives of our readers, I wanted people to grow closer to Christ. And with the change in our website and name, absolutely nothing at all has changed — only now we can talk about more than just books. Now it fits within our framework to cover the wide variety of things that effect our faith. Like what life is like with the Apple Watch or why a Christian dating App might be worth trying. There is a lot going on right now that believers need to openly talk about and I’d like to be a part of that conversation.

For that reason alone, we have added a “submit your own piece” button at the top of our site. Please let us know if there is a topic, an application, a news piece, a book, or anything else that YOU want to hear about. And, as always, be sure to subscribe to our newsletter if you don’t want to miss a post. We thank you for your continued support of our site and we look forward to only getting bigger!
