If you’re in full-time ministry you work with volunteers. If you don’t you’re doing it wrong. Volunteers run the ministry I currently lead. I have the privilege of leading a team of 40+ people who love students and want them to know Jesus more. I love our team. Truthfully, they are more passionate about student ministry than I am. That’s how I know they are in the right seats.
Everything from our cafe, band, production team, small group leaders, first impression greeters, and bus drivers are volunteers. If I was gone tomorrow the ministry wouldn’t miss a beat. My role is to lead and empower our volunteers to realize and reach their full potential in Christ. One of the ways they do this is by helping their students, not mine – theirs, do the same. They worship with them, read scripture with them, wrestle through hard topics with them, serve with them, laugh and cry with them. They are incredible.
Building Your Volunteer Team is a practical 30 day project to help you build and maintain a volunteer team and culture in your ministry. It’s a super helpful tool. If you lead a team of volunteers or wish you had a stronger team. This is must read.
