It’s where we begin.
We all have questions about what comes after this life. Eschatology is a study of the “end times”. It’s a look deeper into the future. In the Christian Scriptures eschatology takes a front row seat. Jesus talked about the kingdom of God and the “last days” before He would return to reign as King. There is a clear focus on the end times. This has led many to speculate about what these years before the return of the King could be like.
Scripture speaks of a time of “tribulation”, or great suffering, and a “rapture” or “taking out” of Christ-followers before the return of Christ. This tribulation has been the subject of many sermons, books, movies, and even evangelical halloween scare tactics…
