I’m one of the first people to get my hands on what so many people are talking about, the Scribe Bible Journal. Here’s the basic rundown on why the Bible journal exists in the first place. Following the problem and the solution, I’ll share my own thoughts on this brand new approach to time spent with God — live unboxing to follow!

Scribe Bible Journal: The Problem

Most Christians want to have a closer, more intimate relationship with God. But finding time to pray, read and meditate on Scripture every day can be hard. Life is busy.

As a result, our relationships are negatively affected because we’re not taking advantage of the means God uses to grow us in Christlikeness. We feel as though we’re letting God down. We become disappointed in ourselves, feel anxious and sometimes alone. This makes us feel further disconnected from the One who gave us eternal life.

Scribe Bible Journal: The Solution

Introducing the SCRIBE Bible Journal, the world’s first habit-forming Bible study system for busy Christians (backed by science). SCRIBE helps you cultivate the quiet time habit in three easy steps:

  1. Step 1: Plan your quiet time the night before: Well over 100 studies have shown that deciding in advance when and where you will take specific actions to reach your goal can double or triple your chances of success. Motivational scientists call this technique “IF-THEN” Planning or implementation intentions.
  2. Step 2: Do your quiet times: Scribe uses a modified version of the S.O.A.P Bible study method to encourage deep thinking about what you’ve read in Scripture and connect the teaching to your life.
  3. Step 3: Track and Reflect: Scribe offers various ways to track your progress. You can do it daily via the 40 Day Challenge Tracking Bar at the bottom of the Daily Layout and the Weekly Review.
